FAQ
Pricing questions
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Free is $0 forever with 2,500 words a week and no card required. AI cleanup is the one thing reserved for Premium.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Finish the guided setup and you get 2 weeks of Premium free, no card required. When it ends you keep Free forever, or upgrade to keep Premium.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Every plan, including Free, needs a Blurt account (a quick email sign-in) so we can apply your plan and word count. Your dictation still runs on-device.
Is there a contract?
No. Premium is billed monthly and you can cancel any time. There is no annual lock-in.
What is AI cleanup, and do I need an API key?
AI cleanup runs a quick pass that fixes filler, punctuation, and formatting. On Premium it is included with no API key to manage, or you can bring your own Anthropic key. The Free plan does not include it.
Will the price change?
This is a limited-time Beta launch rate. Lock in your rate now; the price may rise after the beta.
Do you offer team or enterprise plans?
Yes. Enterprise covers volume licensing on one invoice, help rolling Blurt out to your team, priority support, and security or procurement conversations (including BAAs). Email support@justblurt.com with the subject “Blurt Enterprise” and we'll put pricing together for your team size.
What is Private mode? What happened to Clinical mode?
Private mode (formerly Clinical mode) is the on-device hard lock: AI cleanup off, no transcripts written to disk, and an offline medical vocabulary for clinical notes. It is included with Premium, and early users who tried the free beta keep it free. The dedicated Clinical plan, adding a BAA and priority support on top of Private mode, is coming soon. See the Clinical page to learn more.
